Advent Aspirings

orchidee

Tune: Darwall

('Rejoice the Lord is King')

********

Again the Advent call

Is made to one and all

For He, Emmanuel

Shall come, let all tongues tell

He once to earth has come, we know

And He a second time will show

Prepare the way that He

May come to each heart, see

For His eternal reign

Shall be, no crying, pain

Nor death nor mourning shall there be

We by Him redeemed and made free

Make crooked places straight

Rough places plain, not late

Every valley it shall

Be exalted, fare well

Each mountain and each hill made low

Make it for His return, be so

Rejoicing there shall be

Witness, evangel we

That others too believe

Christ as Saviour receive

'Til gathered in, no trace of sin

Multitudes of all kith and kin
