What if we are imagining our life,
And could design it as we go along?
What if there was no such thing as limits
To what we could be, or what we could do,
Simply by mindfully choosing what to imagine?
Such is the future for the human race if we
Simply avoid destroying ourselves first.
I give it an even chance.

- Comment from author about the poem: I love the title my muse gave me for this one: Reflecting upon future possibilities ... or reflections from a possible future? There is, after all, a widely held concept that all time is simultaneous rather than sequential. Who's to say?

If only, if only.... great thoughts Louis.
I'm practicing the method now, and by golly, I believe there is something to it. Thanks for your comment, Michael!
Well penned, interesting concept, Louis! That future could have been yesterday. Maybe in a different dimension.
Now there is a thought! The possibilities are beyond our imagination, aren't they! Great comment, Fred.
What if? One of the most telling questions in our life. Good write.
I believe we should never stop asking that question, as all great thinkers have done. I appreciate your comment, Goldie!
Well, I would say we can imagine it to a certain degree. There's also interacting with others, sometimes having to do what others say, so there's a balance, I think.
Meanwhile - Am I me? Is that me in the mirror? Yep, cos the mirror cracked. It always does when it see me! Oh and I got headache thinking this deep first thing of a morning! heehee.
Why not all imagine together? Which, I believe, is exactly what we are doing, in creating this consensus reality. Sorry about the mirror, 'O'!
Your poem rather gave me a headache, with me thinking. I was not used to thinking, hence I wrote a daft poem for today! lol.
I'll check it out.
I tend to think time is simultaneous , but who knows , another thoughtful writing from you . Well done
Much appreciated, WL! I agree regarding time.
I think that was powerful, when you said "if we simply avoid destroying ourselves first." That is the challenge we face...
Overall a deep poem. Noice!
Thank you so much, RV. I'm so glad you appreciated it.
I've always thought that's the way life works...the focus has to be intense-as intense as the imagry...today I imagine I can be a writer of poetry..tomorrow I must remain focused..good poem louis/food for thought
