falling

marlöw

i fell

and they said get up

but little did they know

i fell into quicksand

struggling to get out

as i took every last breath

the quicksand is what accompanied my death

WECOME MARLOW ~ Thanks for your first Poem ~ very terminal ! I was sinking in QS once but fortunately I was pulled out ! What irked me most was that my new green Wellington Boots disappeared from view ! It made me realise that LIFE is a bit like QS ! It sucks us into its grip and tries to squeeze us into its mould ! Your Poem is an allegory of those who allow themselves to get sucked into the Social QS of 21st Century Society ~ Drugs ~ Alcohol ~ Debt ~ Pornography etc ! My advice ~ to the Young Adults I Teach (17 ~ 25) is to avoid these things as you would avoid QUICKSAND ! Thanks for sharing ~ it made me think ! More please ~ YOURS BRIAN (UK)

Thank You So Much Brian. Your Response Means The World. But Yes, It Is Pretty Much Relating To The Social QS Of Today's Society. Kisses - Marlow!!

Good write Marlow. That quicksand is always there in life but it can be avoided as I seem to have done as I reach the twilight of my life. That quicksand is normally put in your way by others, avoid it and go your own way, it is your life so go through it in your way. Welcome to MPS.
