Dear Santa!

FredPeyer

Dear Santa, if you really do exist

There are places you have missed

Places without love or joy

Where children don’t have any toy

Where war and death are the rule

Where life is cheap and cruel

It would be nice if for a change

You could try to re-arrange

The GPS directions on your sleigh

To search and find a way

To include these children in your list

I’m not just asking, I insist

Alleviate the hurt and pain

Help to lessen fear and strain

I can honestly assure

All it takes is a small detour

A little bit of time well spent

That would not make any dent

In your scheduled delivery run

But spread happiness and fun

Deliver the Christmas ghost

To children who need it most

I apologize for the late response. Somehow missed thanking everybody for their very much appreciated comments! I guess with the Holidays, I must have gotten a bit confused. Could also be old age! In any case, thank you very much, all of you!!!

No need for the apology Fred. With the Holidays comes a very busy schedule and not enough time to do everything in a timely manner. Hope your New Year finds you with a pen with much to say.

If only the Santas in all of humanity could all work together for one common goal of healing the world of the cancer that affects us all. Great write Fred.
