That wonderful sound pervades the room,
Pervades my heart and soul,
Played by that man who reaches out to me.
His life filled with music,
Music that reaches me so beautifully.
The sound of his trumpet
Sounding like no other,
That smooth sound so unique,
So beautiful, so Chet.
No longer with us in body
But he is always with me,
With me in my body
With me in my heart
With me in my Spirit.

Beautiful tribute, Goldie! I enjoyed the clip! Very smooth and soothing! Perfect ending to my not so perfect day! Thank you!
Thank you Laura he is a superb musician and I can always rely on him to calm my day.
I do hope that you have a better day tomorrow.
Oh yes, he will drown my singing with that trumpet, so it can only be good - excellent in fact! I know you wanted to hear me sing really! heehee.
I take it that you are getting over your cough/cold and are screeching again.
Croaking here. Dunno if I shall make Christmas, or if it will be a Silent Night - Silent Days! doh! Recovering - oh no, more singing to follow.
very nice
Thank you w c.
Beautiful music to read your poem too. really enjoyed both Andy.
Thanks Michael, much appreciated.
Ah yes, Chet was one of my favorite musicians back in the day. There were some great jazz musicians at that time ... Brubeck being one of my very favorites. Fine tribute poem, Goldie!
Thank you Louis, I have been listening to jazz for over 60 years and regularly go to a jazz club in our area where we get some great musicians. I too like Dave Brubeck, I saw him on his eightieth birthday tour and he was absolutely mesmerising.
