Tuneful Tidings

Tune: Regent Square (Smart)

('Angels from the realms of glory')

Luke 2 v.10-20 part

********

Love, humility abounding

Earth and heaven join to sing

Tidings of a Saviour's new birth

His the name of endless worth - Chorus

Chorus

Re----joice! Christ the King is born

Re----joice! Now has dawned redemption's morn

To shepherds first, lowly station

Came the news for each nation

Christ born in Bethlehem, go see

Prince of Peace, Light of world He - Chorus

Though no room in the inn was found

Joyful stable did resound

Animals the wonder they share

Mary, Christ-child she did bare - Chorus

So shepherds they did view Him there

Journeying they well did fare

For they saw as they had been told

Messiah, promised from old - Chorus

Mystery, a hidden truth shown

Now revealed, it was seen, known

Mary, Joseph, they chosen sure

Parents of Jesus, Saviour - Chorus

Thanks STEVE ~ Just got back from CHURCH ~ Mum's Turkey smells divine ! Love the CAROL ~ Written (and always sung) from the Heart !
Your POEM brought us from the Realms of Glory ~ Down to Earth ~ Which of course is what JESUS did. LUKE presents JESUS as the SON of MAN ! It was written for the Greeks so it focusses on the visit of the SHEPHERDS not the MAG! as in MATTHEW ! Love the wording of your POEM ! Thanks for all your SPIRITUAL input to MPS in 2017 ! Yours BRIAN
