Helping Hopes

('Oft in danger, oft in woe')

Lamentations 3 v.21-27

********

It is of the LORD's mercies

That we are not consumed, these

His compassions, they fail not

Blessings to us are our lot

His graces new each morning

He us them does daily bring

Great is His faithfulness too

Reaching unto me and you

The LORD is my portion here

Says my soul, I will Him fear

And will hope in Him each days

He shall show me His good way

The LORD is unto them good

Those who that wait for Him would

And to the soul that Him seeks

He shall help humble and meek

It is good that all, each one

Should hope in Him, all bar none

And quietly wait, draw near

His salvation shall appear

Good to bear yoke in our youth

Yoke of the LORD, it is truth

I these things recall to mind

Therefore hope in Him I find
