THE PAIN OF REJECTION

Her door now locked,

her blind still closed,

he walked away down broad stone steps,

a scarf of thorns around his neck.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Was going to London for a couple of nights but just cancelled having heard our two main routes (the M1 and the A14) are both closed due to snow and multiple accidents so here I am posting again with a cheery little number.

So you stayed - to write us more gems! Good write Michael.
I couldn't do all I wanted. I could not sing - me throat packed up with a bug. Oh no, I'm recovering! I shall sing again soon. arrggghh!

The pain of rejection is awful at the time but one always has to move on and discard that scarf of thorns.
