Bake Sale Cookies

Bake Sale Cookies

Freshly baked cookies on the stove

Exactly for whom I did not know

Still warm and a little chewy

With oatmeal and peanut butter there for choosing

With some milk I had a few

As I watched the evening news

And another just before bed

With the sugar going to my head

With a buzz I did proceed

To find my love upset with me

Very angry that she must bake

Additional cookies for the ones I ate

The bake sale was a complete success

No thanks to my hungriness

Though I did donate to the cause

To make up for my greedy paws

And I knew once again

That my new year could begin

With a few less cookies and less cake

Especially the ones my dearest baked

wc, I really do like your cookie poem! I usually don't even wait for the cookies to bake, I eat the cookie dough.
