I want to be buried meadow
if love is a sound
I want to sing it for the rest of my days
if love is an aroma,
I want to float upon it
if love is art
I want to live in museums
if love is pain
I never want to be numbed

if love is a mystery
I'm on the case
if love is a joke
I'm a jester
if Love is Supposedly Real then Why is it that You Live in My Dreams?

- Comment from author about the poem: I saw a quote online saying "If love is the sea then I never want to surface.." That inspired me along with the title from e. e cummings "if" it's a poem about love, shocker? Love is a beautiful thing but people are constantly misguiding the the idea of it. Tread slow, it's okay to take your time. Don't fall too fast, we all want to love and be loved but we shouldn't cut corners to find it. It comes when it's least expected, and of course, you can't love anyone unless you truly love yourself. goodnight xx

WELCOME "H" ~ Thanks for your first Poem ~ it is very BEAUTIFUL ! We all seek to define (In our Poetry and in our Experience !) just WHAT love is. Your Poem alleges it is EXPERIENTIAL ~ and in all we encounter day by day ~ Flowers ~ Sound ~ Art ~ Pain ~ A Trap ~ A Mystery ~ A JOKE ! ~ REAL etc etc ! I'm an expert and it is all those things and more ! I've spent half my LIFE (17 ~ 34) falling in and out of love ~ and i have relished every minute ! "Better to have LOVED & LOST than never to have loved at all ! Currently I'm in LOVE with ANGELA ~ it is REAL and I hope (and pray) it will last for ever ! Tour visual says it perfectly. When your are in love ~ You are riding a Mountain Stream ~ TOGETHER ~ enjoy the calm TOGETHER ~ braving the rapids TOGETHER and even going over the FALLS together (I have done Waterfall Climbs and if you hold hands tight (and pray !) you don't die but come up CLOSER TOGETHER !
