the veil

Heather T

a thousand words

between each line

a thousand days

one wisp in time

a touch, a kiss

a well placed rhyme

will you miss me

when I'm gone

a thousand tears

that burned my face

a thousand sighs

that met each grace

a life that leaves

a fragrant space

I will miss you

when you're gone

ten thousand years

to write upon

ten thousand lights

without the sun

I smell your hair

and I'm undone

just dream, love

I'm right here
