sometimes
sometimes, when you love someone
without them realising it
they can say something so hurtful
that for a while
though you still love them
you dont want to be near them
dont want to touch them
your mind runs away and hides
seeking peace
a place where you left barriers which
now you hide within again
sometimes
sometimes its not easy
to even peep over the barrier
sometimes worthlessness overtakes you
fears arise and pick at the bones of your future hopes
sometimes i want to run away and be safe
sometimes sharing hearts hurts real bad

A well written poem about heartache, one-sided love, and how we deal with it, da! The last line is so true!
I had in mind a few words said to me by someone who loved me and i them. Often there's a subject inside us from which we hide fearing some sort of inadequacy or failure and if that subject is handled clumsily or thoughtlessly by someone we love dearly ..... then it cuts very deeply.
