Going through our lives
We come to many doors,
Some open for us
And lead us through our lives
Along the path prepared for us.
Some are closed,
Blocking that path,
But another way is found.
As we travel a different road
That way is always before us.
Sometimes though we just look,
Look at the closed door,
So get stuck in our lives,
Unable to see the other door,
The door that has opened for us.
Always look for the open door,
It is always there.
“When one door closes, another opens. But we often look so regretfully upon the closed door that we don’t see the one that has opened for us.” Helen Keller.

A fine and true write Gold. Ahh, maybe I didn't learn the quote. When I married KP it seemed like: 'When one door opens, another one slams in your face!' doh! Helen Keller was, and is, a huge inspiration.
Thank you Orchi.
More words of wisdom from you. So very true. You are the poetic Sage of MPS.
You are so kind, I only emboss others words. Thank you da.
And we all have a key if only we learn how to use it - great work Andy.
Very true Michael, the doors can always surprise us when we open them.
Thank you Goldfinch60.
I liked this poem.
Life too also involves paths those open to us and those closed to us.
Keep writing

Thank you FindB, those paths can be wondrous.
A great poem and words
of wisdom, Gold!
Yes...let’s ”Always look for the
open door”...and enter with an
open mind.
Your poem brought to mind
one of my favorites...
“A mind is like a parachute,
it doesn’t work if it’s not open.”
(Frank Zappa)

Thank you Laura, most kind.
A very insightful write! Thanks for sharing. Helen Keller's quote was very inspirational as are your writes!
You are so kind Christina and for that I am most grateful.
Beautifully written, orchie! And I do love the two quotes.
That’s ok Bert, I will tell ANDY.
Goldie, I am SO SORRY! How could I make such a mistake!!! Just hope you can forgive me. Maybe no now, but eventually!
Nothing to forgive, Fred, it is another of life's peculiarities which makes our lives so wonderful.
Take great care of yourself.
