RAINBOW ~ REFLECTIONS ~ A Mirror Acrostic !

BRIAN & ANGELA

RED ~ ORANGE ~ YELLOW ~ GREEN ~ BLUE ~ INDIGO

Every colour of the Rainbow plus VIOLET

Focused ~ reflected in a tranquil lake !

Lovely to see at Sunset ~ the whole Sky

Each colour caught by the cumulus clouds

Captured but not fixed ~ changed every second

Transposed by its REFLECTION in the LAKE

I stand awed ~ The Beauty of Our Planet !

Only GOD could create such a Picture

NO HUMAN COULD PAINT ~ RAINBOW REFLECTION !

Only GOD could create such a picture

I stand awed ~ The Beauty of Our Planet !

Transposed by its REFLECTION in the LAKE

Captured but not fixed ~ changed every second

Each colour caught by the cumulus clouds

Lovely to see at Sunset ~ the whole sky

Focused ~ reflected in a tranquil lake

Every colour of the Rainbow plus VIOLET

RED ~ ORANGE ~ YELLOW ~ GREEN ~ BLUE ~ INDIGO

BUZZ ALDRIN named the MOON ~ Magnificent Desolation

compared with the Beauty of the Earth ~ even though it

was 250,000 miles away. When I look at the Photo which

accompanies this Poem ~ I can understand why ~ BRIAN !

In a MIRROR POEM the "last" line (line 10 in this case) is the

PIVOT ~ It is capitalised and not repeated !  Line 11 is line 9

repeated 12 is 8 ~ 13 is 7 until Line 19 (the  final line of the

Poem) takes us back to Line 1 ~ both of which are capitalised

The final poem has a pleasing symmetrical shape !  This poem

makes sense read both forwards & backwards ~ most poems

do not !  This is achieved by good WORDSMANSHIP  which you

will have to work out for yourself !  Best Wishes ~ BRIAN XOX

A lovely write and pic Brian. Did Buzz eat any of the moon? Did he find out if it was made out of cheese or not? And does the No.7 bus got to the moon?
A guy at bus stop said - Nope, you need the No.11 bus for the Moon! heehee.

YES ANDY ~ It turned out to be hard CAMEMBERT ! The number 7 goes to HEAVEN ! But the number 11 is the LUNARBUS ~ Terrestrial Orb Buses only go up to 10 The No. 11 leaves at 9am every FRIDAY from the AERODROME @ Ashby De La Zouche ~ You have to take your own oxygen & space suit ~ available form MILLETS ! Like the trips to OZ a single is only £10 (they need colonists) a return is £2 million ! When I went LUNAR KING BUZZ was there to meet me in person ~ I could afford the £2 million because I'm one of the lucky few still working ! Thanks for your comment ! BRIAN (LUNATIC !) Pleased you enjoyed the Poem 'n Pic !

Thanks Brian, and for all those details. I shall enquire! heehee. Can I get to the moon via Clacton? Or Bognor?! Erm, Andy (Goldfinch) is not going to the moon, not that I know of. It's me, Steven!

Beautiful picture to acompany a beautiful write. This reminded me of a line in my favourite poem by Rudyard Kipling:

"They shall splash at a ten-league canvas with brushes of comets' hair"

The poem is "When Earth's Last Picture is painted"

Thanks ANDY ~ Pleased you liked the Poem 'n Pic ! I like RK's poems ~ never a wasted word ~ Yours BRIAN !

very lovely ! 🙂 and what a beautiful picture ! i once wrote a poem about a rainbow .. i enjoyed reading this, tho i can see its more about the colours in the sky then an actual rainbow , but beautiful none the less!

Thanks CHARLOTTE ~ I love RAINBOWS and in my picture all the colours are there due to refraction of SUNLIGHT (white light = R O Y G B I V) When it rains each raindrop acts as a PRISM forming the RAINBOW Our EYES are designed to distinguish the colours of the RAINBOW (ROYGBIV) and THOUSANDS OF SHADES in between ~ which enables us to see in colour ! Sometimes on TV they show FILMS (or news footage) in B & W and you see what you are missing ! Sometimes the colour is more intense in RELECTION ! Pleased you liked the POEM 'n PIC ~ Yours BRIAN

THANKS CHRIS ~ I knew the SUNSET would appeal to you ~ you have so many lakes (big & small) in the USA and beautiful sunsets ! The reflection of the latter in the former is always breathtaking ! God is the Ultimate Artist and he created us with EYES capable of seeing it and MINDS capable of appreciating it ! The FOOL deceives his own mind ~ when he says "God does not exist" There are many Fools on Earth today who ignore all the evidence ! Glad I started your DAY ~ BEAUTIFULLY ~ HUGS ~ BROTHER BRIAN @@@@@@@

Love the depth of gratitude in this mirror acrostic Brian - there can be nothing more beautiful than God's colourful creations as found in rainbow reflections in cloud or water

              • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks FAY ~ pleased you enjoyed and appreciated the tribute to the CREATOR ! When I saw the picture it inspired the Poem which I intended just to be an ACROSTIC based on REFLECTION ~ but then I wrote it such a way that it could be read backwards (LINE 10 back to LINE 1) so i posted it as a MIRROR POEM ~ OK ~ Yours as ever BRIAN
