RISING PAIN
In murmerous ripples tales were told
perceived by those who lived along
remote responsive shores;
though not disposed to obvious truths
they stirred her rising pain.

May that pain soon be eased
With truths that calm her soul
Lets hope so Andy.
A fine write and pic M.

Wow! Thatās a powerful message, Michael, via words and visual! Has to be read more than once...for sure!
~Laura~
I do like short works - you can pack a real punch in them which can be lost in a longer piece. Thanks for your kind words Laura.
We are so deep inside someone here!
Very deep - is there a way out?
Meanwhile - I thought this would be about my singing. That's a rising pain (in the neck!) to people. heehee.
At least it's rising and not stuck in the a**e !!
How often we pick up the signals missed by those involved who may be blinded by their love and devotion. Hope i read this convoluted tale correctly. Very subtle.
I love writing these short pieces because, as I said above, they can pack a punch but, more than that, they tend to be very enigmatic - almost abstract. It means a lot that you have interpreted as you have - I'm sure it could be interpreted in other ways but that's the beauty of short verse. Thanks so much for looking in and taking the time to comment - actually I think your interpretation is pretty accurate but who knows?
Don't believe everything you hear, it might pain you.....as perceived by the one who lives along a remote, but not so responsive shore.
