Grand Union Canal coated with ice,
Trees, desolate, naked and bare,
Wembley Stadium, crowned with a blizzard of snow,
Children playing and on sledge rides in the frosty winter air.
Commuters congregate in the deep freeze at Wembley Park Station,
The Jubilee line experiences endless delays,
Costas Coffee shop serves hot chocolate and marshmallows by the dozen,
This winter spell of bleak weather carries on for days.
Winter in Wembley,
Old Father Time’s reign though will soon cease to exist,
Spring is waiting to re-appear,
Daffodils, snowdrops and warmer weather, wonderful pleasures one cannot resist.

- Comment from author about the poem: We are experiencing some extremely cold weather in the UK at the moment. Here are my thoughts on this cold spell going on at the moment with particular reference to where I live in Wembley - Greater London

Hello Michael.
Msny thanks.
Today I passed a father and daughter with a sledge in the father's hand.
They were enjoying the cold weather no doubt.
Keep warm and keep writing

Yes it is a bit bleak here in the midlands as well, but at least in many instances the goodness of people comes out to help others in this weather, it is a pity it is not like this all the time.
Hi Goldfinch60,
Thanks for reading.
Hope you have not been too badly affected by the snow?
Well, I hope the weather will take a turn for the better from now on after this cold spell.
Keep writing
