Goin' down to the machete store

They ain't gonna bother me any more

Let them come at me

From the jungle night

My new bought blade

Packs a lot of might

If that don't work

I'll smile real slow

One way or another

They're gonna go

  • Comment from author about the poem: Last year my brother was a volunteer on a mission in the Peruvian jungle to find, catch and tag anacondas. (Luckily they didn't find any - or so felt his family!). He sent us a photo (which I unfortunately lost) of himself wielding a machete in the store where he bought it - essential equipment apparently. It just made me laugh so I wrote this.......... forgive me Grant!

          Well unfortunately they didn't find one but he was with experts - too bad really because he would have loved the tackle!
