Trial

Christina8

Did you ever get down on your knees

and ask God " Oh, please, please?"

I know he hears my hearts lament

and hears my plans for good intent

Just want forgiveness so bad

for whatevers making my heart sad

Was it something I did in yesteryear?

Thinking of all the things, I shed a tear

I've done some things I can't take back

Forgiveness of self is what I lack

The Lord will give me Hope and strength

Only He knows my trials and their length

I feel lost in the wilderness of life

Just so young to feel hopelessness and strife

Just want to smile and laugh again

Only He knows what a trial it's truly been

A fine and true write Christina. Erm, I'm going to say the opposite almost to D - reaching out to One outside of ourselves for help. Or if looking within, looking to His Spirit within us for His help.

Forgiving yourself is always the hardest to do especially if you continue to re-live your guilt. Let go of your guilt Christina and then forgiveness will be within reach. Beautifully expressed poem.

In this life we do many things that we regret but God does not bear grudges, we need to accept these things ourselves and then move on, the future is always bright, move forward towards the light.
