Hidden Flower

Jonathan Dylan

A soft white blanket covers the land that once was spring,

The earth beneath is gasping and yet cannot do a thing,

The sun draws back the blanket and casts it away,

To release the hidden flower so that it might have its' day.

WELCOME FRIEND ~ Thanks for your first Poem ~ Each Season has its Blessing. We have just had a five day period of heavy snow in S E England but all clear now and 50F (10C). Sometimes in the UK the snow only lasts ONE DAY ~ but it is beautiful while it lasts ~ Yours BRIAN (UK)

Thank you very much! I am from The Midlands myself, we had it pretty bad, not as bad as you guys though! I took inspiration from seeing the budding daffodils fighting to bloom.
