Tune: Hanover
('O worship the King')
Psalm 150
********
Praise you the LORD, here let all no rejoice
He has here you called, and made you His choice
Praise God in His sanctuary, 'tis His abode
All power of enemy he has o'er rode
Praise Him in the firmament of His power
Earth, sea, and sky, each day and every hour
All things that be above, all things here below
He the great Creator, an all He does know
Praise Him for all his great, mighty acts strogn
Praise His excellent greatness all day long
Praise Him all you instruments fine, tunefully
In harmonious strains, sweetly, joyfully
Loud trumpets sound forth, raise victory shout
Sweet psalteries, cornets, and harps play out
The story of His great salvation true, sure
His love to mankind shown here for evermore
Praise Him too with timbrels and in the dance
Church, mighty army, in triumph advance
Praise Him with stringed instruments, fine melody
And with organs, majestic, powerful, free
Loud cymbals awaken us, praise Him too
E'en high sounding cymbals, extol Him new
Yes, let everything, everywhere - has it breath?
Have you breath? Then praise Him lifelong unto death
'Til all earthly praises join heaven's throng
Resplendent in infinite worship, song
I shall with that chorus my voice tune to sing
And bring Him true homage, my eternal King

Hope this make for a Merry Monday for you - nope, not that sort of merry, or I'll be round to add water to ya spirits!
I have hidden my scotch so you will not be able to put water in it.
I have got my trumpet out, can you hear it!
Praise Him indeed Orchi, Praise Him indeed.
Thanks Gold. Ahh, you'll drown out my singing then. 'Good' do you say?! lol.
Nobody can be heard above my trumpets and if I play jazz I do not play ANY wrong notes as each note is "the one that I NEEDED to play at that time!"
Orchi,
A beautiful write along with an enjoyable clip! It will make a merry Monday for sure!
Thank you!
~Laura~
Thanks Laura.
THANKS STEVE ~ For raising the Roof and all our Spirits ~ Just finished teaching so am playing the tune on the SPOONS ! I am sure someone has sent you a list of my fave tunes ~ This is another Despite my Youth ~ in Hymnology I prefer ANCIENT to MODERN ! Thanks for POEM also they are always a great Blessing and good to read in the Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting ~ AMEN ~ Yours uplifted ~ BRIAN "Spoonman !"
Thanks Brian. You playing them spoons?! Well, I'm open to modern tunes too, but some come under 'Irregular Metre' or no metre at all! I can't seem to imagine, say, quieter folk, belting out 'I wanna scream it out from every mountain top'.
And my poems may be unlikely to include 'Oh yeah!' or 'Whoa!' And what metre is that?! lol. If a bit reserved, we may think 'Erm, yes, a little different to my style!' They even jazzed up 'Holy, holy, holy'. It was OK if not too fast.
