Measurements of Life

Lorna

Measured in smiles

And bread on the table

And winding our way

Through trials

Hopefully with another

Surveying the miles together

Seeking safe distances

Between sunrise and sunsets

Inches of pain

But yards of contentment

Interesting Poem. Safe Distances Between Sunrise and Sunsets. Life is Fragile. Being Careful is Important to See Another Day and Night. Life can be Simple and Always Not Being Hard.

Yes - after I wrote I thought about this line - and remembered all the adventures when young that weren't necessarily "safe" - but made great memories. (I mean physical ones - not drugs or anything......). So not sure playing safe is always best policy......

Depends on Your Idea of Fun and Excitement. People are Crazy in a lot of Different Ways. Arrive Alive. Your Wallet will also Thank You.

Lovely to read these well-written comparisons with life's journey and our attitude to its true meaning - a fine piece with much food for thought about how our yards of contentment are measured with smiles - -
            - -- thanks for this read dear Lorna.
