IT’S WHERE I AM

We are born,

and we die

I am in the middle.

Very true but surely we are a bit further along the path than the middle.

    • Michael Edwards

Yes - perhaps it should read: I'm at the bit in the middle - well I'm certainly at the bit of something.

A fine write and pic M. Yes, today is the first day of the rest of our lives. And it's Wednesdays today - all day, that is! Or what's left of it (which is most of it at the time of commenting here!).

I see a cross, maybe three crosses in your picture - makes the poem profound yet simple too.

Oh yes, it's today all day. Strange that tomorrow never comes. When it gets here, it's 'today' again. Got me baffled that one has!

Short and sweet I love that painting but can't say why? ww

Based on the pattern in some paving outside our apartment in Paphos - pleased it appeals Willy

Painting got me with those again beautiful colors!! (Bonnard like - eons ago I worked at Reader's Digest and the Wallaces had bought tons of artwork which was on the walls all around us - Renoirs, Dega, Monets & more - no kidding! There was a Bonnard in the entryway which is how I got to love him). The poem reminded me of On Golden Pond where Ethel says they are a nice middle aged couple and her husband replies "Ethel people don't live to be 130 years old"....... ha ha. It always made me laugh.

How I would have loved to see them. I particularly like Bonnard along with Pissaro and Sisley. Actually I'm still laughing having just written a couple of funny verses about Adam and Eve which I might post sometime - my wife, bless her, thinks I'm losing my marbles - actually I took them to a Charity shop some time ago but I can't remember which one because I don't have them any more .

Someone's been reflecting it seems. Not a bad thing at all, reflection. Clever little piece of work too. Nicely done.

Thanks Nicholas - I appreciate you taking the time to comment.

            Cooeeee, is it still today?!

According to my watch it's 10 to 9 but I've got I've got it on upside down.
I've got an idea - hang on - I'll stand on my head and check it.

Well that didn't work - tried to raise my hand to see my watch and fell over.

                It's a quarter-to-Spring by my watch!

Thanks Orchi - the springs broken on mine.

                  Michael,
It feels good to be in the middle!
A fine message within those three lines! I love the painting! Beautiful colors! Overall...AWESOME!

I absolutely love that portrait! And as for the poem, that is the truest thing I've read all day! lol

You've got to smile - thanks Christina.
