Far beyond the pine-wood
The grass grows long and deep
There in a little garden
Is where I want to sleep
Below the great white stars of the hemlock flower
The nightingale sings his song
As the cold crystal moon looks down
He sings it all night long
Where the yew-tree spreads out its giant arms
To embrace the sleeper’s fear
No yesterdays and no tomorrows
Time is forgotten here
Forgiving life to be at peace
Forgetting all my sin
Hearing only the silence
And the sighing of the wind
Love is always with us
Love is always near
Love is stronger than death is
Oh sweet death, I do not fear
