My deep December shadows
Are cast down by the moon
My misery is waiting
It’s hiding in the gloom
I am weeping while I’m waiting
For the morning sun to rise
My melancholy anticipation
Takes me by surprise
I am longing for the sunlight
To wash away my pain
I want to hear my soul’s song
Playing once again
I need to chase away my fear
I find hiding in the gloom
Of my deep December shadows
That are cast down by the moon
