Comforting Communings

Tune: St Magnus

('The head that once was crowned with thorns')

Isaiah 43 v.18-21 & v.25

********

Remember not the former things

The Lord He new things brings

Consider not the things of old

Now be things new and bold

The Lord He shall a new thing do

It shall spring forth to you

He makes a way in wilderness

Rivers in desert [does] bless

For there a way in barren land

Where contained rock and sand

And rivers they shall quench your thirst

Fresh springs shall now outburst

The Lord gives drink to His chosen

His people here, each one

Water of life in refreshing

Each one does to Him sing

This people for Himself he formed

He loved them, to them warmed

They shall show forth His praise always

Worship Him all their days

He the Lord does for His own sake

Blot out our sins, does make

Us His people, forgives, our lot

Sins He remembers not

Thanks M. Lie the picture/painting in the clip? I think it's good - does not over-portray Christ or make Him garish, etc. You seen my halo in any of my pics, or has it fell off?!

Just look down - looks like it's got wedged around your waist.

This is a very good one Orchi, may our sins be forgiven.

Thanks Gold. Some lovely passages and verses in the second half of Isaiah - from chapter 40 onwards.
