Trouble.
Macaroon sky,
white-ruffled and fluffed
like meringue pie
trapped in closing oven.
Piebald twilight
mauve-caught and greying
like grains of rye
simmered in storm-stains.
Dun-dark bleak shore
sleet-slaked and coloured
like stew long-stored
brews gale-laden trouble.

So full of images! I love lemon meringue pie! You have piebalds and duns in here so I'm off with the horses! A storm may be coming but we'll get on our horses, head for home and eat the pie in safety!
My thanks for dropping by to read and comment dear Lorna.
A fine write Fay. Hope it's only mini-trouble - a temporary delay to Spring arriving? Well, tree in front garden has started blossoming again, and the hedgerows!
I hope so too Orchi -- roll on Spring.
macaroon sky I love it. ww
Ah --- thought you may like the macaroon-metaphor Willy.
A collection of painted picture - think I'll stay inland.
Tis making me even feel chilled Michael - - roll on Spring eh ?
