Going through life there are many paths,
Some are flat and wide
Where you travel with normality,
And your life feels good.
Sometimes the path goes down
And your life gets faster
As the highlights in life
Beckon you towards them.
The road suddenly gets steeper,
Or gets narrower,
Where life is hard,
But that road is important
As it gives the experience,
The experience to travel on,
To be stronger in your life.
Then you come to mountains,
Those big obstacles rise before you
But with strength and determination
You climb them,
And once more the wide flat path
Is there and you go on forever.
As with any path you stumble
But they are normally of no import,
Because while you can climb mountains,
It is easy to stumble on molehills.

Isn't it great Goldfinch when we can finally "see" the molehills!
Very much Lorna, thank you for reading.
Gold,
This is an EXCELLENT write! It should be read by all...especially by those who are beginning their “adult” life! My two will definitely read your wise message! Also, I love the pic you chose for this poem! Thank you for the share!
~Laura~
You are so kind, may your two tread a wonderful path to fulfilment in their lives.
Thank you, Gold!
I believe they’re on
their way!
A fine and wise write Gold. How were the roads, or dirt-tracks (?) in 1066?!
Straight but very narrow.
Very wise advice first thing in the morning! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Christina, most kind.
True Andy, many paths in life. But paths of wisdom certainly.
Very true AP, THANK YOY.
Great work Andy - love the message.
Thank you Michael.
Goldfinch,
Really liked your piece, which is a great analogy of how you see a journey. So much truth here
* just to say is the last but third line meant to read importance?*
Great poem
M 🙂
Thank you for that Poetic25, much appreciated.
Thanks for your comment about the word, import may be a strange word to use but it is a word that I use quite frequently to show that the meaning is clear.
