Not nice getting old
As no one seems to care
I shuffle around my flat
Slippers worse for wear
I am a little bit lonely
Even though I have a cat
I am always talking to her
Only wish she would talk back
When someone knocks on my door
Maybe this time I will have a chat
Never seem to make it on time
They have gone, and I shuffle back
I wave from my window
To people walking by
Not many people wave back
Shame really, I wonder why?
Sometimes I go for bus rides
But everyone is on their phone
Nobody seems to talk anymore
So Yes I do feel alone
I know it is the way we now live
So trust has certainly gone
I really must stop moaning now
Time for that cuppa, nice and strong

Sad write KItcat but I can understand how this is, the art of speaking to each other is lost in this modern world.
