In the UK many Catholic & Anglo Catholic Churches have
the 14 Stations of the Cross ~ stationed permanently
around the Church. The "Stations of the CROSS" service
is on Good Friday ~ and members of the Congregation
read out the "passage" related to the Station ~ It is a very
moving service and brings the CRUCIFIXION into stark
reality on the Day we remember Christ's Death ~ BRIAN XOX

Thanks STEVE ~ Pleased you liked it ~ it is an amazing reminder of the many aspects of Christ's Sufferings ~ Prior too and actually on the CROSS. With his SUFFERINGS we are HEALED ~ AMEN Yours BRIAN
A sonnet filled with all the challenge faced by our Lord at that crucial time as recorded in history - - I have often wondered at the courage of Simon surrounded as he was by fierce denial of God's great will.
THANKS FAY ~ Yes SIMON stepped up to the mark in a very special way The Cross was Heavy and when in the Flesh (INCARNATION)JESUS laid aside all His former GLORY & POWER and became obedient unto Death ~ even Death on a CROSS ~ AMEN ! He could have called 10,000 Angels to condemn the World & set Him free ~ He could have called 10,000 Angels ~ but he died alone for You and Me ! Yours as ever BRIAN
A great sonnet, Brian! I have never heard of "stations" before but it seems like a very moving idea. Thanks for sharing! Sister Christina
Thanks CHRISTINA ~ If you inside any ROMAN CATHOLIC Church yiu will see the 14 Stations of the CROSS up on wall ~ Or look it up in WIKI and you will learn the significance of them related to Our Lord's Crucifixion ~ OK It is a way of teaching the Catechism to Children & Converts & Seekers etc. Pleased you liked it ~ Hugs in the Spirit ~ BRIAN @@@@@@@ Thanks for your comment on the Chocolate FUSION
Those fourteen Stations of the Cross do show us the way to the eventual resurrection. Good write Brian.
