Let Me Ask You a Question

Nicholas Browning

Let me ask you a question:
Is it simple, or is it hard?
Is it complex, or just bizarre?
Will it be shaped, or left rugged;
Shall it be fixed, or left scarred?

The state of your mind is the state of everything else.
What you decide it to be,
What you think it needs.
Dress it up in flashy strings,
But whatever it will be, will be.

Erm, could depend on what "it" is, what we're doing, what we're thinking about, etc!

That is the question! A poem that makes you think but what about? I like this - it's something different.

    • Nicholas Browning

If the master of versatility thinks my poetry is different, then I have certainly hit the mark. Your interpretation hits close to home sir. Thank you very much for the read and for stopping by: A pleasure, every time.

Yes I wondered what you were asking me.
Sometimes we search for answers but if we are not asking the right question we are left in a quandry.

What is is what is but must it be so?

      • Nicholas Browning

Not every question has a unique answer. The answers lead to more questions anyway, so that's the fun part.
What is, is in fact what is, but maybe someday someone will change that.
Thanks for stopping by and the brain empowering thoughts!

Ahhh I am always confused by questions and answers!

What shapes a question? How does it change in another's perception and interpretation?

If what is is then how can I think therefore I am?

I love it when my head hurts 🙃
