Tune: Hereford

('O thou who camest from above')

Colossians Chapter 4 part

*********

Continue in prayer, watch in the same

With thanksgiving in Jesus' name

Praying for one another, we

Shall share the gospel bold and free

Witnessing to all, words and deeds

Pray gospel message each one heeds

Walk* wisely towards everyone (*=live)

Following steps of Christ the Son

Redeem the time, it do not waste

Yet taking time, not hurry, haste

Speaking always with grace, seasoned

With salt, not human plans reasoned

Pray that each stand perfect, complete

In all the will of God, this meet

Experiencing our blessed state

Fullness in Christ, we not be late

The last stanza rocks. Well done once again.

        Thanks Nicholas.

"We not be late" - made me think of a card I bought once. Two dinosaurs watching Noah's ark sail away and one says to the other: "Damn was that today!" Too late!

And after they were just out of the harbour Noah scratched his head and said: 'Damn, I could have sworn I only allowed two rabbits aboard! '

Oh lol Lorna. A bit olde-fashioned that line, but had to get something to rhyme with 'state'.

Thanks Michael. Erm yes, and the other animals (and humans) 'multiplied'. C'mon now you poets, I can't explain 'multiplied' to you, as I shall faint! heehee.

And you 'walking' properly there, Michael, or you bow-legged or something?!
