Calliope looks down upon me,
Asking the question
What are you going to write today?
Will it be of love?
Will it be of hate?
Will it be of art??
Will it be of music
So many subjects to ponder,
But this day will be the same,
As every day I will write them,
I will write these words.

A fine write Gold. I think we both met Cally in person, as we called her, some time ago! Before 1066 anyway!
We may well have done back in the day, I can't remember whether she was aMUSEing or not.
That joke: Exquisite.
Thought provoking stuff from you today as well. Just one of those days I guess. I previously had no idea who this person was, so time for some research. Thanks much for the post bud.
Thank you Nicholas, my pleasure.
You know Cally Nicholas? Goldie and I met her in person, we think, cos we're both million of years old - and deluded. Well, I am anyway. lol.
Geez, so you guys are the og's huh?
Oh yes, and it was all Orchi's fault!
All she ever makes me think about are red geraniums - nice one Andy
Horticulturists have a different mind Michael. Thanks Michael.
I immediately had the wrong calliope in mind and went straight (mentally) to this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFgqDSBba1g - knowing your musical bent! Loved finding out about the lady Andy....!
Didn't know anything about that boat but when I saw the clip "Ol' Man River" immedoately came to mind.
Calliope is a musical "instrument" - see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSfZHXylH-E
The boat was playing the music............
Great write Andy!
Thank you Christina, much appreciated.
Oohh is Queen Victoria one of her descendant? She was not aMUSEd either!
We can push aMUSEing too far Orchi, but I don't know when!
I only ever remember Clio, I must bone up on my classical Greek stuff they knew a thing or two worth revisiting.
The Greeks certainly knew a thing or two, their philosophy could help us all today.
