Tune: Dove of Peace
('I come with joy to meet my Lord')
********
Fresh invites to Communion, you
Do still issue anew
O call us, draw us, to your side
Spirit in us reside
Forgive where we not always share
In this, your rich store's fare
There one reason or other be
Or distractions may see
For so to come to share bread, wine
It is an honour fine
O see our love for you, though small
At times, yet still you call
Call us to partake, memory
Of your blood, body be
Who did for all die, rose again
The Saviour of all men (mankind)
God our Father, and Christ His Son
We are brothers made one
And sisters in His family
The church of God it be
Strengthened with this food spiritual
It is enough for all
Speaks my acceptance, forgiveness
Jesus shall each one bless
So out into the world we go
Help us share, so men know
Of salvation, and be brought in
Your fold, and cleansed from sin
Our only hope, our only way
Dawns our redemption's day
'Tis Christ we trust, so have we peace
Hope, faith, love, without cease (ceasing)

Amen.
Thanks Gold.
One jump here and another one there, but the flow is still smooth. Lovely work as always sir Orch.
Thanks N. You mean the jumps in the clip, or the poem 'jumps' a bit, or both?
The end of some lines have connections that make you tilt your head a bit, but then it call comes back into rhythm. It's actually quite cool.
I see what you mean N. I've amended this slightly now.
But for example, I often, or always, use 'alway' in some poems. Cheating a little as it rhymes easily with 'day', 'way', etc! lol.
a spiritual uplifting and healing poem nice writing
Thanks blast.
I can count on you to give me inspiration. Thank you so much for your continued efforts to do so.
Thanks laser.
Thanks STEVE ~ Loved the HYMN ~ Simple and yet profound in its message ~ The same is true of the Poem. In any Christian Fellowship the Communion Service (or Lords Table) should be central and observed at least once a week ~ AMEN If I'm on Holiday wherever I am in the World I always try to meet with the Saints around the Lord's Table. I am always made very welcome and sometimes asked to share my Testimony ! It is always a time of great Blessing ! Thanks for reminding us ~ Yours BROTHER BRIAN.
Thanks Brian. I don't want to knock 'modern' places, though they don't all have weekly Communion. I miss it then, having grown up with it. Not that I was always at church in younger days. Sometimes I went to Bingo with me Gran - serving mannon there! We should not get 'bored' of Communion, but if we're in a dull church it may seem like a grind.
