RED ~ Colour Nature uses to warn
I guess we learn that the day we're born
The Fly Agaric ~ a fungus ~ bright red
Eat one and you are stone cold DEAD !
ORANGE ~ So warm it absorbs the Sun
Over the meadows we're free ~ we run
Nature's colours ~ bright in the golden sunshine
In crisp green fields lying ~ our souls untwine !
YELLOW ~ So cool and very mellow
When I was a kid ~ fave colour for Jello !
Daffodils they always make me sing
Bright yellow harbinger of Spring
GREEN ~ The colour of healthy grass
Joyful play ~ time to chill ~ please let it last
True essence of beauty ~ uplifting green
Kids let loose in the open ~ with joy they scream !
BLUE ~ The colour of Sea & Sky
Both blue ~ I often wonder WHY ?
Maybe GOD knew ~ our most fave hue
Would be a ~ Paler Shade of BLUE !
INDIGO ~ On those Bunting Birds
Singing cool harmonies ~ just to be heard
Indigofera radiates tropical height
Drawn into vibrant elegant sight !
VIOLET ~ Colour of ROYAL & DIVINE
Bright in my garden ~ the Violets shine
Sassy Ladies with purple make-up and hair
Purple a colour for Real Men's nightwear !

A Collaboration Poem is written by two Poets

A fine colourful write there Brian and Maxine. That yellow glare is killing me. I'm reading that verse with sunglasses on! lol. Coherent? Not me after a sherry or three! heehee.

Mother Nature can be a pain with SNOW in MAY and now that all the kids have gone back to School in the UK ~ its dry & warm instead of cold & wet !
