Riding Pegasus

Lorna

You taught me to fly

To ride the back of a horse

To leap the earthbound fences

As we threw our hearts ahead

And jumped them

The horses and I flew

And like a dance in the sky

Under your care

We lived in the air

Thanks Michael - do me a favor? Give me a subject to write about? Pick anything.......

I was just driving back from town a few minutes ago and saw beautiful shadows reaching out across the road and some great lines came to me which I've now forgotten - why not have a go at shadows.

Oh Lorna what a wonderful experience to fly on a horse - your husband 's great way with riding and riders has peppered this poem with beautiful reality - thanks so much for the share.

Thanks Fay - I was blessed with a wonderful life (though not always easy) - so if it's sort of "over" I can't be greedy............ You would have loved the feeling of riding a good horse over a huge fence.........

Like riding a bike. If you fall off, you just get back on and keep riding. Great poem Lorna.

Flying on a horse must be wonderful. My daughter in law is a 'horse person' so I can thoroughly understand your own feelings.
