The Cremation Playground

Lorna

No cold earth for mine and me

Set us free

We'll ride the winds away

Swirl our last atoms

Into the rising day

Jump the sun beams

Finally holding hands fast

Twirl together

In this new form

Rather than leave the earth

We will stay

Great work Lorna - I especially like the words: We'll ride the winds' and 'No cold earth'

Well there has to be an upside to dying! (Actually I can think of lots.......) ha ha.

Well you don' have to worry about bad hair days and bladder problems - so says my aged uncle who I often think is dead already but then comes to life when I get the whisky out.

            Lorna,
It sounds like you want to be cremated when your time is up and let that rich, wise , and golden dust fly free! Sounds great...but not yet! Stay a while...we need you on this site...

A super write! I enjoyed the song by Kansas! Thank you for sharing and bringing back some of the best memories that resonate and some of them very relatable!

This is excellent Lorna. Become one with the Earth. Love the picture, video and your words.

Very good write Lorna, I too want my body to stay with the earth, preferably at the top of Pen-y-Ghent, one of the peaks in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, but I will not be there as My Spirit will be in the ether going on for eternity.

I looked it up...what a breathtaking spot to be!
