LOVERS ON THE SHORE ~ A 4 4 4 2 Sonnet

BRIAN & ANGELA



 

 

ANGELA and I ~ All day on Horses

More tiring than it really sounds 

We arrived at the Lake in darkness

Relieved and Joy that knew no bounds !

 

We knew where we would pitch our tent

Silence except for the wind in the trees

Call of Birds and howl of wolves

Floated on the gentle breeze !

 

DARK ~ so natures majesty was veiled

MOON hidden by a bank of cloud

Tent pitched ~ cold beer ~ no need to light a fire

Bed ~ loving ~ far from the Maddening Crowd !

 

Then in the Morning ~ New Day Dawning

And PARADISE ~ just outside the awning !

    You gallavanting around all day on those horses?! And bit smoochy clip too. heehee. A fine write, and atmospheric clip Brian. I remember it. I gave up watching 'Top of the Pops' from about 1995. Or was it 1066?

              Thanks CHRISTINA ~ Pleased you enjoyed the Poem \'n Pic and also the tune Strangers on the Shore (which I changed for my title to LOVERS !) It is very emotive ~ and always makes me cry because it evokes so many memories. Angela and I have many things in common ~ Love of the USA & Spain ~ Love of Horses & Domestic Animals although she prefers DOGS ! and a love of Biological and Environmental Science ~ Music and of course Christianity ! Our tastes in food are also similar ! When we visit the USA we are amazed at the Scenery because it is on a much grander scale than the UK especially the GREAT LAKES ~ Forests and Mountains. The MALLS etc may make much of America uniform but the GEOLOGY ~ accent & attitude & music is different in every State ! Good news that N & S Korea are shaking hands ~ lessens the threat of WW3 ! We have a first name for the NEW PRINCE ~ Louis Arthur Charles ~ Interesting ! He is 5th in line for the Throne ~ but we\'ve never had a KING LOUIS ~ France has had 14 at least !
