Tune: St Theodulph

('All glory, laud and honour')

Psalm 104 v.16-28

********

Chorus

O LORD, your works manifold

They cannot all be told

In wisdom have you made all

Earth of your riches full

Trees of the LORD full of sap

O'er all the world's wide map

Great cedars tall of Lebanon

He planted every one - Chorus

There the birds do their nests make

Food to their young do take

As for the stork, the fir tree[s]

Her house, her dwelling be - Chorus

A refuge are the high hills

For the goats, they there still

And rocks refugee for conies

Rock-badger's abode is - Chorus

He appoints moon for seasons

All in His plans, reasons

The sun knows his going down

O'er every country, town - Chorus

He makes darkness, it is night

Beasts of forests alight

They creep forth, and young lion[s]

Seek food from God, each one - Chorus

So daytime dawns, man goes forth

To his work, labour knows

Till evening falls, then day done

Cycle of employed ones - Chorus

Too in the great and vast sea[s]

Things innumerably

Live, they teeming and creeping

Small, great beasts, many things - Chorus

There got the ships and large beasts

Each plays therein, there feasts

These do all upon you wait

You feed them there not late - Chorus

They gather that which you give

You provide, so they live

You open to them you hand

They filled with good, sea, land - Chorus

All His creation and creatures shall praise Him. Mankind, sun, moon, stars, Fir trees, cedars, storks, conies/rock-badgers, birds, goats, etc, etc all get a look in!

Thanks STEVE for posting another great GOLDEN OLDIE "All Glory Laud and Honour" Love it they don't write them like that any more ! Love the Poem too because it highlights many aspects of God's amazing Planet Earth ~ I am a MEMBER OF SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) and despite searching the UNIVERSE for over 70 Years we still haven't found anything ! Perhaps GOD chose Planet Earth to be the ONLY LIVING PLANET ! I have studied Science for 25 years (since I was 10) and I find no evidence to suggest Living Organisms could arise spontaneously from basic organic chemicals (bio-molecules). The systems you cite in your Poem ~ Trees ~ Birds ~ Mammals ~ Solar System ~ Night & Day ~ Sea Creatures etc are all evidence of a CREATOR and not BLIND CHANCE ~ AMEN ~ Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN ! Please check my FUSION "Love & Romance" Thanks B !

Thanks Laura. You seen any conies, i.e. rock-badger type creatures?! heehee. Guinea pigs (my pic)are cavies, not conies!
