Tune: Stuttgart
('Earth has many a noble city')
Psalm 3
********
LORD, they are increased that trouble
Me, look, they rise against me
Many be there that do say sure
No help for him in god more
But you, O LORD, are a shield strong
For me, you my praise, my song
My glory, you lift up my head
Though they have me oppresséd
I cried to the LORD with my voice
I shall still in Him rejoice
He heard me from His holy hill
And shall keep me from all ill
I laid me down and I did sleep
He my LORD, He does me keep
I awoke, for He sustained me
He e'er my protector be
I shall not fear of ten thousands
Though they compass me ,their bands
Arise, O LORD, my God, save me
You have smitten enemies
Salvation belongs to the LORD
He is e'er the living Word
His blessing is on His people
He does help them, one and all

Like Maxine I also enjoy your work despite being 'not of any faith' - keep 'em up Orchi.
Thanks Michael.
Thank you for this.
Thanks Lalion.
Well he got you through 1066.............
Thanks Lorna. Yes, it was all right for me in 1066, but a pity I did not help Harold through it. I said 'Look up, Sir' at the dreaded moment, and he did! I only wanted him to see a seagull passing by! heehee.
Oh so it was YOUR fault!
Well said. Very uplifting
Thanks Heart.
HI STEVE ~ I'm much later than usual ~ Its MIDNIGHT here ~ 7pm in the USA and 11 am (SATURDAY) in Auckland ~ Just spoke with ANGELA ~ These time zones re very confusing especially in KENTUCKY where there is an hour difference across a single street ! So you are either an HOUR late or early ~ most folk don't bother to turn up at all ! Loved the HYMN & TUNE and the paraphrase on PSALM 3 The PSALMIST begins in despair and end with the GLORY & SALVATION of the LORD ~ AMEN ~ Every Blessing BRIAN ~ I may post PSALM £ as a SONNET ON SUNDAY ~ Yours BRIAN
Oohh a new Psalm - Psalm £. Is it on the dangers of wealth?! heehee
Yes, my fault Lorna. Boo hoo, I always get the blame for it. It's gone down in history as my major fault. lol.
