Grace (x2!)

SLR

There is a little girl named Grace.

Her mom and dad love to look at her sweet face.

All day long when she's gone to school,

They think about her laugh, the jewel.

Her eyes change color; blue and green,

Sparkling twinkles, prettiest ever seen.

With great big hugs she cuddles close,

We squeeze her tight for our daily dose!

Grace of God, girlish giggles

Radiance of her spirit

Angelic smile

Cuddles close

Eyes of green and sometimes blue

  • Comment from author about the poem: Today, June 11 is my baby girl's birthday. I wrote these today in honor of my baby girl. It was only by the Grace of God that we were able to have her. SO many problems before, during and after the pregnancy. She's our youngest, our last and such a sweet child. Today she turns 7 years old! CANNOT believe she's already seven!

I know exactly what you mean. My kids are my life. We had so many problems with each one that it was a miracle each time one actually made it to be born. Thank you so much for your kind comment. My older girl turns thirteen on the 23rd! A teenager, heaven help us! She's so pretty it worries me about the little boys she's around at school. At least I still have a few years before I have to worry about Grace and little boys. I'm just concentrating on that for today! 🙂 🙂 tell your baby happy birthday!

Ah how lovely - I have five grandsons and just one granddaughter - she is so cherished as I can see yours is.

We have four and she knows she's the baby. She doesn't hesitate to whine or cry a little to get her way! I'm afraid to see how bad that might get as she gets older. Our family is pretty well split but it has a few more girls than boys. And you're definitely right about her being cherished. She's such a sweet little girl. (Usually. She has her days of whining though when we don't give in to what she wants). Thank you for your comments!

I have a huge family. There were nine of us and each of us have at least one child so my parents have, (I think) twenty-five grandkids, At last count I think there were about 14 great grandkids. We always have a bunch of kids running around. 🙂 🙂 Thank you for your comment, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
