THERE'S A SKELETON ~ inside of me
Now that's a scary thing
But without my SKELETON
I couldn't dance or swing !
My CRANIUM protects my Brain
It has two holes for Eyes
My MANDIBLE is flexible ~ for talk
And eating Grandmas Apple Pies !
My RIBS protect my Heart & Lungs
When I hug and kiss
My BACKBONE ~ lots of VERTEBRAE
Help me to bend and twist !
Each LEG contains four lovely bones
My PELVIS holds my FEMURS
PETELLAS join our TIB & FIB
So we can run like Lemurs!
TARSALS join my Legs and Feet
And PHLANGES make my Toes look neat
There's also PHLANGES in my Handies !
Our ARMS are so important .............
For our Hands they act as levers
My SCAPULA joins my HUMERUS ~ and
RADIUS & ULNA makes my arms complete
My CARPAL joins my PHLANGES ~ Hands like Feet !
My SKELETON has TWO - 0 - SIX bones (206)
Each one perfectly in place
My BONES dictate how tall I am
And the contours of my Face !
So please take care ~ protect your bones
Treat them gently ONE by ONE
You are not just a "Bag of Bones"
I am your PERFECT S K E L E T O N !
Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ Love BRIAN XOX
We should never take our SKELETON for granted !
We should drink lots of MILK to provide CALCIUM
and have Phosphorus in our diet ~ BONE is Calcium
Phosphate. Modern surgery helps Seniors to keep
Physically Mobile all our Grandpas have replacement
Hips and Grandmas ~ 'cos they did the Prayin' ~
replacement Knees. Take care and use a stick or a
stroller if you have to ~ and wear sensible shoes !

Them bones, them bones. Each one has a purpose. Very interesting read.
Thanks FRIEND ~ I write these Poems and Songs for my Students to help them remember ! Pleased you enjoyed it ~ Yours BRIAN
Another well written piece of needed information which demands respect for our inner framework. A first class read Brian.
THANKS FAY ~ I like to write POEMS that enable my students ~ some of whom are pre-medics ~ remember facts. Pleased you enjoyed it ~ Yours BRIAN

Thanks WILLY pleased you enjoyed it ~ POEMS make good teachers ~ YOURS BRIAN
Great job Brian! Always interesting. Nice poem! Sister Christina
THANKS CHRIS ~ Pleased you liked it ~ As a NURSE you know the function and importance of every Bone and the importance of diet & exercise ! I always try to emphasise the importance of our bones and skeleton ~ to all my pre-med students. Because we cant see our bones we can neglect them. I love X-rays because they give us so much information. Whenever I have a X-ray taken (for what ever reason) I always ask for a copy ! I have broken a few bones in my time but they have all knitted together OK. Do you like X-rays ? I've added a picture of Lily of the Valley to my FUSION ~ please check ~ it hilites the BELLS which you mentioned ~ OK Hugs & Blessings ~ BRIAN @@@@@@@
I did see the picture---thanks so much!!
I read this out loud and watched the animation with my daughter,Nelly, she loved it.she is turning 7 on the 24 the and I think that she will learn about her bones.this is awesome,we loved it.keep it up.
Thanks SISTER ~ Pleased you liked it and your DAUGHTER ! It's great to be SEVEN (age of responsibility ?) and it most important that Children have self confidence & self respect and HUMAN BIOLOGY is a very important as it teaches "We are a wonderful creation ~ not just Physically but also Spiritually" Body ~ Mind ~ Spirit CREATED in God's likeness ! Sociology and Psychology and Bible Study are also important in their development. Young People are fresh out from God and I am always thrilled by how easily our Young Members in our CHURCH pray and how readily they accept and understand the Truths in the BIBLE including the Scientific Truths ~ AMEN ~ Yours BRIAN
Thank you Brian.
Another lesson from Doctor Michael, thank you.
Thanks ANDY ~ I like to include a Science Based poem from time to time ~ we all learn from each other ~ Thanks for your encouragement ~ Yours BRIAN
