counting crows

willyweed

The earth is quiet

As silent as a tomb

Crows gaggle on a wire

Against a harvest moon

It seems a thin place

Where I am standing

As if time…were standing still

I count the crows descending

They are bound to get there fill

The dawn will

Chase the darkness

The scarecrow fails

To shoo the crows

There is sweetness

 In this dreaming

Only the… created creator knows

In the soul is found contentment

When busy counting crows
