IF I WAS A BIRD

Frogspoetry

IF I WERE A BIRD,
WHAT WOULD I BE?
I WOULD BE A MIGHTY EAGLE FLYING HIGH BOVE THE TREES,
OR MAYBE I WOULD BE A BEAUTIFUL PELICAN SOARING LOW OVER A VAST BLUE SEA,
MAYBE I WOULD BE A LITTLE CHICKEN ROAMING AROUND,SO PEACEFUL AND FREE,
I WOULD LIKE TO BE A TINY PLAYFUL SPARROW TWTITTING AROUND SINGING,LOOK AT ME,LOOK AT ME,
IF I WAS A BIRD,
WHAT WOULD I BE?
I WOULD BE SO HAPPY THAT GOD HAD MADE ME.

Just hanging in the sky with effortless motion,
Swirling in wide lazy circles, going ever upward,
No wing beats on this fine, sunny, still day;
The occasional mew breaking the peace.
Eyes looking around for mile on mile;
Still going upwards, on this windless day,
Until at last the prey is seen, and like an arrow
It stoops to the ground with incredible speed.
When I come back I want to be a buzzard
Hanging in the sky with that effortless ease

Weather they are blue jays,
or cardinals,
small feathers big feathers,
they all know when to Gather,
during any weather.
Some can be mean.
Some can be shy.
They never really care.
They're just glad to be alive.

DOVES ~ AN ACROSTIC 5 5 4 SONNET ~ BRIANSODES

CONSIDER meaning of
EVERY Bird !
~~~~~~~~~~~~
OVERHEAD ~ they look like ANGELS
VERY Spiritual Birds ~ that
EVERYONE adores !
i fought for my mothers brutal love
she gave me everything
and I had to fight to live
am I strong enough
such weak body
and pathetic plumage
she gave me her time
her survival
can I take the plunge
fly the nest
and spread my wings
or will I plummet down to earth
break my bones
I have no choice but to fly
If I were a bird I would be a Parrotlet.
For they're gentle and quite friendly. Small but big personality. Extremely affectionate and loving birds. Even if I'm shy I'm social and playful as a Parrotlet. Most importantly they're the cutest of all bird.
If I were the black crow
I would steal your corn
the flock and I would wait on the wire
in the frosty morn
you would throw stones and cusses
to try and make us go
we have been here for many years
you work for us you know
If I was the black crow. ww
MY MOM WROTE THIS ONE BACK IN 1978,IT IS CALLED BALDY,
BALDY LIVES ON A MOUNTAIN HIGH,
HE LOVES TO SOAR IN THE SKY.
A BRANCH OF TREE OR MOUNTAIN TOP,
IS BALDY'S FAVORITE ROOSTING SPOT.
HIS HIDDEN NEST IS HARD TO SEE,
KEEPS MAN AWAY AND KEEPS HIM FREE.
SALMON'S A DELECTABLE DISH TO EAT,
BUT HE REALLY LIKES MOST ANY MEAT.
HE NORMALLY RAISES A FAMILY OF TWO,
ANOTHER LAYER TO HIS NEST GAVE US THE CLUE.
WE HOPE HE'LL BE HERE FOR MANY MORE YEARS,
OUR NATIONAL EMBLEM DESERVES MANY CHEERS.
AN ENDANGERED SPECIES BALDY MAY BE,
BUT WE CAN PRESERVE HIM,YOU AND ME.
ROBIN ~ BRIANSODES
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AUTUMN has gone
WINTER has come
What will the ROBIN
Do now poor thing ?
He'll hide in the barn
And keep himself warm
And hide his head
Under his wing ~ his wing
And hide his head
Under his wing !
