FOUR SEASONS ~ In One Day we often say
But it really happened unto me ~ One Day in MAY
MORNIN' SIX AM ~ as cold as death ~ WINTER
FROSTY cold outside ~ only THIRTY EFF !
AMEN the SUN was shinin' TEN AM
It began to feel like SPRING again !
The AFTERNOON ~ Brother SUN rose Higher
To over SIXTY EFF ~ it did aspire !
A DAY that started as a BUMMER ~ had morphed
From WINTER ~ then through SPRING to SUMMER !
BUT then down came the RAIN ~ And
Wind & Hail ~ it's AUTUMN weather once again !
Glad to be back and WARM ~ inside my HOUSE
FOUR SEASONS in ONE DAY ~ spouted my SPOUSE !
Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ Yours BRIAN

Was that our Summer for this year? That day in May? Hope not! But you were not referring to the bank Holidays (surprisingly?!)
I read a bit of Daniel. They chose some captives who, among other things, understood science!
Thanks STEVE ~ This year in ESSEX we are being spoiled (apart from the ubiquitous Hank Bolidays) oodles of sunshine and very little precipitation ! This weekend looks good & next week ! Yes Daniel and the three Musketeers ~ Shadrak ~ Meshak and Abed- Nego were very clever and both Lion Proof & Fire Proof ~ well ahead of their time scientifically ! DANIEL is an awesome Book ~ some great prophesies. Note that the Bible vindicates its miracles ~ The Men who opposed Daniel were thrown in the Den and consumed as were the Men who threw S M & A into the furnace ~ they were burned to DEATH ~ awesome ~ Yours BRIAN
Sounds like typical British weather to me.
"How do know what the weather is doing?"
"Look out the window!"

I have them both plus a normal version and the Nigel Kennedy version - I have seen him perform that live - wonderful.
Thanks for your comment and the links ~ will play them ! Love NIGEL ~ he is of my era so a bit too unconventional foe some ~ but he is a virtuoso violinist so most Classicists forgive Him. My niece is a grade 5 violinist and adores Nigel and to her he is an INSPIRATION ! Thanks for your comments ~ Yours BRIAN The Weather for the weekend ~ and next week in Essex ~ promises to be Sunny & Dry ~ soon be the end of Term !
Crazy weather can happen in the day of May. I enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks HEART ~ Yes especially in May ~ it can revert to winter and then jump forward to Summer / Autumn in 24 hours. Still the BBC 15 day forecasts are pretty reliable especially if I'm leading a Field Trip in the Mountains ! Pleased you enjoyead it ~ Yours BRIAN

THANKS FORD ~ Pleased you enjoyed it ! Poetry is all about WORDS and the more fluent one is (in any lamguage !) the better the Poet ~ Yours BRIAN
That sounds like the weather here in Oregon, the other night there were thunder storms, the lightning sparked a wildfire about 10 miles from where i am,today it is supposed to be 84 F.Last year they said that summer was on tuesday.LOL.Great poem Brian.
Ahhhhhhh OREGON ~ Nice State but far North on the West Coast ~ Passed through on the way to Seattle to visit ALASKA and the Inside Passage ! I'm not surprised you get a mix of Weather ~ Nice State to be in ! 84 F is hot ~ verging on 30 C which is very hot in the UK ~ for temp conversion we remember that 28C is 82F ~ OK Older Brits still tend to think in FAREINHEIT 60 is WARM ~ Coat off ~ 70 is very WRAM ~ Shirt off ~ 80 is HOT ~ SPEEDOS & BIKINIS ON ! Pleased you enjoyed the POEM and that it struck a CHORD ~ Yours BRIAN
British weather is always precocious and your poem outlined the surprises it gives so well Brian. Thanks for the honest reminder of our weather's inclemency.
THANKS FAY ~ I love the Seasons and they always stir my muse ! Pleased you liked it Because we are an Island with a high coast to land area ~ we do get a lot of rain ~ which much better than not getting enough ! Pleased you enjoyed it ~ Yours as always BRIAN
Never had a day like that in May, but I have had it freeze and snow! LOL Glad those days are over. Sister Christina
