Why cast down within me, heavy, my soul?
Look to the Lord, He will restore, make whole
Why disquieted within with trouble, care
Your God will help with His countenance fair
He will look upon you and see your state
You will recall again he wondrous, great
He will command lovingkindness each day
In the night His song be with me alway
My prayer be unto Him, God of my life
I shall find freedom from confusion, strife
Has God forgotten me, my rock is He
No, enemies shall not e'er oppress me
O send out your light and your fine truth free
Show me your way, to holy hill lead me
To your tabernacles, your dwelling place
Where by faith I shall gaze upon your face
Then again I will joy exceedingly
