Meetings attended,
Minutes are always taken,
But hours are wasted.

- Comment from author about the poem: On a poetry website of which I was a member some of us would write in the 5-7-5 style but they would be neither Haikus (nature or sesaons) or Senryus (emotion) so we used to make up names, I used to write Goldikus but this one is a Cynicu. Oscar Peterson is my favourite jazz pianist, I have most of his recordings.

A fine write Gold. Yes, why they waffle on, some of these meetings?!
It is because some of them think they are so important.
Andy,
Spot on with your Cynicu!
I’m enjoying listening to Oscar Peterson!
How’s Joyce doing today?

Thanks Brian. I have seen Oscar Peterson live, he and his trio (Ray Brown, bass; Bobby Durham, Drums). They came on the stage he sat down at the piano and played, not a word was spoken during the first half, they went off the stage and on coming back Oscar looked at the audience and said "Good evening". It was a fabulous concert.
