Meeting the muse

Daveyboyz

She inspires my words and inspires my art,

A special lady, I knew right from the start.

We met again and a table I'd booked,

I wish I had proof of how sexy she looked.

High heels, bare legs and a dress,

My heart raced I'll confess,

The memory that I'll take away,

She shined like a diamond that day.

We spoke about the usual things,

The challenge and troubles life brings.

The stuff that we hope and what we must do,

Thanks for the day, another I'll pursue

Because I never get bored of being near you.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I went out for dinner with my muse again the other night and the painting and poem followed the next day, she seemed to appreciate them both :) though she said sadly that it was just a moment, how fleeting life is.
