Desire in the shadows

OldPine

There’s Desire in the shadows,

Something we cannot hide,

When we’re alone and smiling,

Free like the evening tide,

A robin in the summer,

The beauty of a rose,

A view to make us tranquil

Enough to bring us close.

There’s Desire in the shadows,

Something we cannot hide,

A whisper of I love you

Away from busy lives

The artist telling stories

And tales of friends he meets

There’s anger in the streetlights

We move back into peace,

There’s Desire in the shadows,

Something we cannot hide,

A whisper of I love you.

Let’s come back some time.
