Unbroken Love.

Goldfinch60

Up the stairs I go,

Her cup of tea in my hand.

I see her sitting up in bed,

My lover, looking out of the window,

Completely at ease with the world,

With the world in which she abides.

I look at her with a love so deep

That gets stronger each day.

I walk into the room,

She looks round startled,

Startled from her thoughts.

A smile creases her face

As she looks at me,

And our world of love is complete,

Knowing that our love is so strong,

And will never be broken.

    A sensitive write Gold.
One of the 'mystics' said (St John Vianney?), or he heard it said to him: 'I look at God and He looks on me, and all is well'.
Meanwhile - I'm killing people softly with my songs! heehee.

HELLO ANDY ~ ANGELA HERE FROM NZ. Its 7am (Wednesday) here and I've just woken up and I always check my Laptop before BREAKFAST and Check MPS to see what BRIAN has been up to! I love the mellowness of Johnny Mathis and this song especially : your Wife has good taste. Your Poem really made me think about TRUE LOVE and how readily it adapts to circumstances which SUPERFICIAL LOVE could never survive. In my LINE as a PHYSIO I deal with patients whose mobility (and often mental capacity) is reduced through STROKES, HEAD INJURIES and SPORTS INJURIES. I have done Counselling Courses with the Church and through the NHS. Part of my Job (alongside the Medical Staff) is to explain to Loved Ones the medium and long term effect on Physical Mobility and Mental Capacity. I have always found that with those Truly in Love they are more able to accept bad scenarios. You have hinted in other poems that there are restrictions in your lives but you accept these graciously because you Mutual Love grows deeper & sweeter "Day by Day by Day" ! It encourages me, when you refer to your Lovely Wife as "MY LOVER", to believe that the Love BRIAN & I have for each other will survive any vicissitude! Thanks for sharing I'll be Crying in the Shower: Love to You & Your Wife ANGELA (NZ) XXXX
