Views from a Wembley Window!

FineB

A bright Summer morning,

In the early morning I am still yawning,

From my window I see the squirrels bounce from tree to tree,

The wily Mr Fox runs in the distance along the underground track totally free.

The skies are blue,

Tinged with pink and white clouds, a beautiful hue.

Butterflies all around,

Birds singing in harmony an incredible lovely sound.

Flowers bloom before my eyes,

The robin so gracefully and majestically flies.

  • Comment from author about the poem: At the moment we are experiencing a bit of a heatwave in the UK at the moment. However, I woke one morning before a very hot day would develop before me and through various windows in my house I saw nature blossom before me. Nature in all its freshness early in the morning.

Fine write - I too am lucky in that I am surrounded by wild life although almost not so earlier today - a muntjac jumped out in front of the car and I'll never know how I missed him (or her).
